On the trail of Jewish Warsaw,

a city that no longer exists.

On this route we will show you what remains of the Jewish Ghetto. We will show you also the largest church in Warsaw, the Jewish theatre and synagogue,  tell you about the events leading to the uprising in the Ghetto, and lead you to the place where the leaders of the uprising committed suicide. You will find out all about Szmul Zygielbojm's cry of desperation, the Hotel Polski scandal, and also the “Jewish Edith Piaf”, Wiera Gran, whose fans used to break into the Ghetto especially to see her. We will then walk up to the Museum of the History of Polish Jews and the place where chancellor Willy Brandt kneeled, the man “who didn't have to, on behalf of those who should have”. We will also see Umshlagplatz, the place from where Jews were taken off to the death camps.
